RCAHMS requests personal information from you when you:
- add a comment to the site
- ask to receive more information on the project
- use the 'send to friend' function
This information will be used to deliver the services you have requested. It may also be used for internal customer analysis to develop and improve customer services. RCAHMS will not pass your personal information to third parties.
Voting is open to everyone, including RCAHMS staff, associates, friends and family. Voting is NOT restricted to one vote per person.
Voting for the images to be included in the top ten will be suspended at 12 noon on Thursday, 25 October, 2007. The votes will be counted and the ten images with the most votes will be revealed on Saturday, 27 October, when voting will resume at 12.01am of that day. The number of votes received by each of the top ten images by 25 October, 12 noon will be preserved and added to, when the voting resumes on Saturday, 27 October, 12.01am.
Voting for the winning image will stop at 12 noon on Monday, 10 December, 2007. The image with the most votes (received from Wednesday, 19 September, 2007) will be declared the winner. The winning image will now be announced on Wednesday, 12 December, 2007. The winning image will be celebrated by a poem written by the Edinburgh Makar, Valerie Gillies.
All votes received by post will be added to the online voting site by Treasured Places staff, as they are received.
In the unlikely event there is a tie for the winner, the image that has received the most votes since the top ten (12.01am 27 October, 2007) will be announced the winner.
Please note that to enable the 'top 10 so far' function to work, all 100 images started with 1 vote (1%) on 19 September, 2007. The total number of votes recorded and displayed, do not include this initial 100.
Inappropriate content in comments
RCAHMS reserves the right to remove any content which it considers to be inappropriate. This includes comments that:
- Contain offensive language
- Break the law or encourage unlawful activity
- Breach copyright
- Advertise commercial products or services
- Impersonate someone else
- Are posted repeatedly
- Include personal or contact details
When adding a comment please ensure it is civil and relevant. If you disagree with a comment please add your comment to the discussion.
